The Music Sync feature will be available through a future update for Samsung's SmartThings app. Finally, in the fourth quarter of this year, the company will roll out the capability to sync your smart lights with songs playing out of a Samsung Galaxy smartphone or tablet. Speaking of PC lighting, the company has teamed up with Corsair to give you a way to sync the lighting on your peripherals with your Hue lights via the Corsair iCUE software. Signify has also launched a new vintage-style Philips Hue Filament candle bulb that's capable of diffusing dimmable warm-to-cool white light, as well as a new gradient lightstrip for PC that will be available on September 13th in the UK for prices starting at £130 (US$151). Not including the cords, the bulbs will be available in the fourth quarter of 2022 for prices starting at £75 (US$87). They will be available in thee different shapes, namely large globe, ellipsis and triangular, and can be sold with a black or white fabric-wrapped cord and holder. The new Lightguide bulbs have a distinct inner tube that can diffuse light in any color. In addition to announcing the applications' merging, Signify has also added a handful of new smart lighting products to its Philips Hue lineup. Signify said it will phase out the standalone sync app, though it didn't say when exactly it would be pulled out from app stores. With the sync app's integration, you can set up the sync box, as well as enable features such as voice control for it, within the main Hue app. The app guided me through connecting the Sync Box to WiFi and. That box is what you need if, say, you want to sync your smart lights with what's playing on your TV. Setting up the Sync Box requires the download of a separate app (grrrr) called Hue Sync. The Philips Hue sync app controls the ecosystem's sync box, which you can use to connect four devices to your setup via HDMI. Now, Signify has announced that it's making things a bit less confusing by merging the Philips Hue sync app into the main Hue app sometime in the fourth quarter. I have seen a bunch of articles on these issues but I’m at a loss after trying everything. When you search for " Philips Hue" on your phone's app store, a few options will pop out. Just always says it’s not found regardless of being connected to WiFi. Nothing seems to get me past after connecting to wifi correctly (confirmed seeing device on 2.4 on my router dashboard) and getting hue sync box connected to the Hue app. Unplugged hue bridge for 15-30 seconds and plugged back in all while repeating installations from blue tooth steps. Haven’t gotten these screen on any other of my 20 attempts. Once this instantly changed screen to unable to validate connection and other time it doesn’t do anything at all on the app. On two occasions it gets to a part of the installations asking me to hold button until green flash and release. Does show purple light until it’s done booting and goes back to a white led. I’ve attempted factory resets by unplugging holding front button for 10 seconds and while holding it plug the power back in. I’ve even disabled 5g on router and retried fresh install steps and still won’t find it after connected to 2.4wifi Sometimes the app clocks and just gets stuck in searching. Then it tries to find the sync box and just says it can’t find it. Let me find enter password and connect to my 2.4ghz network. Control LEDS With an App You can control the Philips Hue devices with a mobile app. Buy the Light Mi Neo for a fraction of the price and you get an HDMI sync box, dual adhesive LED strips, mounting frames, an HDMI cable, and mains adapter. I get through setup of sync box via the hue app until after it’s connected to wifi and then it never finds the box. Buy the Philips Hue HDMI Sync box and you get exactly that. Hue sync box is plugged in and has one connection from source to sync box and sync box to tv. TV light strip is working, connected and setup on the Hue app (iOS).
